Unlike our wind-powered electric fence, the Farm doesn’t run on fresh air (unfortunately). So we rely on the kindness of businesses and organisations to help us out financially – such as at lovely folk at:
It’s amazing really how much needs taking care of. As well as animal feed, (Malachi is one hungry horse) and keeping up with vets’ bills, there’s the kids’ wellies, warm clothes, mountain biking, climbing and other adventures – plus specialist equipment for the children with disabilities. Not to mention keeping our Wetlands area in good shape for our lovely wildlife. Oh and did we mention crunchy mints for Rolo and Polo?
The deserving kids of Yorkshire are a great cause, and whether you’re local, national or global, there’s a lot you can do to help…
Here are just some of the ways you can get involved:
- Invite Lineham Farm to be your charity of the year
- Persuade your employers to assist the Farm with a donation - we readily accept and badly need the cold hard stuff, but also love it when people can help us with a gift in kind donation
- Plan some events in (or outside) your work place and fundraise for the Farm - some people are lucky enough to have their fundraising efforts matched by their employers, do yours?
- Nominate us for your payroll giving scheme
- Bring a team of volunteers to work at the Farm for a day or two
- Come along or take part in our events (& tell all your friends about it!)
In return for your support we can offer you as much PR as we can muster, introduction to a new client base, fantastic cause related marketing, enough support to hold up Malachi’s stable and, a huge big smile when you finish the day knowing that you've just done something great!
