A festival-style celebration: Leigha and Tom’s wedding

From the moment Leigha and Tom first visited Lineham Farm, they knew it was the perfect setting for their dream wedding. “We fell in love with Lineham Farm during our first visit and booked it shortly after,” Leigha says. The couple wanted a celebration that would bring together the elegance of a traditional wedding with the laid-back atmosphere of a festival – what their guests would later dub their “posh mini festival.”

Set against the stunning Yorkshire countryside, Lineham Farm offered them the flexibility to create exactly what they were imagining: a weekend wedding that would bring their loved ones together in a way that was uniquely them.

A weekend to remember

“One of the pros of Lineham Farm is being able to have the venue for the full weekend, so all of your loved ones can enjoy every moment,” Leigha explains. The historic Yorkshire stone buildings and surrounding countryside provided a gorgeous backdrop, with the courtyard strung with bunting and picnic tables creating the ideal spot for guests to gather and celebrate throughout the day.

Making it personal

The beauty of Lineham Farm is how each couple can put their own stamp on the spaces, and Leigha and Tom made the most of this flexibility. Working with Prestige Event Company, they created an atmosphere that perfectly balanced wedding elegance with festival fun. Hay bales topped with cosy blankets offered casual seating for guests, while personal touches like a beer pong table added to the relaxed atmosphere.

Food and entertainment were carefully chosen to keep the festival spirit alive. The Honest Supper Club provided the main catering, while Proper Pizzas kept guests well-fed into the evening. For those with a sweet tooth, The Brownie Box (a friend of the couple) created the wedding cake and desserts, adding yet another personal touch to their celebration.

“There’s so much flexibility,” Leigha says. “You’re able to add so many personal touches and there are so many different spaces available within the venue.” This allowed them to create distinct experiences throughout the day, from relaxed afternoon mingling in the sun to a sit-down reception in the charming barn.

A day full of music

No festival is complete without great music, and Leigha and Tom’s wedding was no exception. Their friends from Yorkshire Soul provided entertainment, keeping the dance floor filled as the evening progressed. The courtyard came alive with movement and music, with the couple’s first dance taking place beneath the bunting and fairy lights.

More than just a venue

What made Lineham Farm stand out for Leigha and Tom wasn’t just its versatility, but also its purpose. “Lineham Farm is such a wonderful charity that does so much good,” Leigha told us. “It’s a bonus to know that your money is going towards something great!”

All profits from weddings at Lineham Farm support Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm, helping provide respite breaks for disadvantaged young people in Leeds. By choosing Lineham Farm as their wedding venue, couples like Leigha and Tom help create lasting memories not just for themselves and their guests, but for local children who need it most.

Throughout their planning, the couple worked closely with Jenny, who they describe as “fantastic, professional, helpful and efficient,” saying that “there isn’t anything that is too much trouble!” This support helped them bring their unique vision to life.
