A spotlight on our partners: Tchin-Tchin
At Lineham Farm Weddings, we’re proud to offer a blank canvas for our couples to transform into their perfect wedding venue. We firmly believe a wedding should be as unique as you are, so we give you the freedom to create a tailor-made celebration that reflects your personal style and tastes.
We also know how overwhelming wedding planning can be. That’s why we have a number of recommended partners; trusted local suppliers who we’ve worked with time and time again, and who we know bring something special to each of the weddings they attend.
Today we’re shining a light on one of these partners: Tchin-Tchin. Tchin-Tchin is a lovingly refurbished vintage horse trailer that delivers a fresh twist on the mobile bar industry. They offer a bespoke experience with a stunning bar, warm service, and of course, excellent drinks! We chatted with owner Emma to find out more about her experiences in the wedding industry.

Hi Emma. Firstly, what do you think makes Lineham Farm a special place to get married?
Lineham Farm is a great place to have your wedding. With a farm, fields, a barn, gardens and woodlands, Lineham Farm gives couples so many choices when it comes to deciding where they would like to hold their ceremony and wedding reception. Lineham Farm is a special place as it gives couples full access to the entire venue, and flexibility to choose their own suppliers and build their day, their way.
What is your favourite thing about the location?
I love that Lineham Farm is tucked away, it’s private and you almost wouldn’t know it was there. Yet it’s still close enough to Leeds for us as local suppliers. The location is also handy for wedding guests in need of accommodation if not staying on-site.
What are the most popular drinks for countryside and farm weddings?
I would say the most popular is always one of our premium lagers. We often recommend Pravha as it’s great tasting and something different that not a lot of people have heard of before. We also find that a traditional Pimms and lemonade goes down well earlier in the day too, especially when the sun is shining.
What are your top tips for outdoor wedding reception?
Make allowances for the weather. This doesn’t have to just be if it rains – extra heat can be tricky to deal with. Shelter and brollies may do for the rain but ensure there are also shaded areas and plenty of water available to guests if it’s a very warm day.
Our clients have the option of a hydrations station being included on the day; this means guests can help themselves to a selection of refreshing soft drinks throughout the day. For cooler days, we can also include warm cocktails and even mulled wine to really keep out the chill.
If you could give an engaged couple one piece of advice for planning their wedding party, what would it be?
My advice to any couple at the start of their wedding planning journey would be to have a wedding tracker. Boring I know, but something as simple as an Excel sheet (or lists if you hate Excel) helps. Include all your spending and your budget, and it will help to keep your spending in order.
As a side note to this, I would also say to be careful where you try and save money. Just because you may save a little bit of money now, doesn’t mean it will benefit you on the day.
For example, with dry hire venues such as Lineham Farm. Couples can select their own bar providers, or even supply the drinks themselves. Saving money by skipping bringing in a professional bar service might save some money upfront. However, it’s rarely worth it when the work involved serving the drinks, keeping them cold, refilling ice buckets, replenishing stocks and clearing them away is considered. This is after having to hire or buy the equipment needed.
Finally, what’s your best wedding anecdote?
I had a good chuckle at one of our weddings last season. I love it when guests really interact with us at the bar, and on this occasion, everyone was having a great time. One gentleman came back to the bar wanting to try something new and asked for our recommendations.
It was agreed that he would give Dead Man’s Fingers Passion Fruit Rum & lemonade a whirl and see what he thought. Well, from his reaction he was blown away – he had his doubts but absolutely loved it. Not content with finding himself a new favourite tipple, he then took it upon himself to bring other guests to the bar, insisting that they order the same. This progressed to him essentially rounding up the entire wedding party and becoming a poster boy for Dead Man’s Fingers Passion Fruit Rum.
