Lineham Farm is licensed for indoor and outdoor civil ceremonies and offers a choice of spaces for your drinks reception, wedding breakfast and evening celebrations.
The Barn Room
The Barn Room is our main function room and can hold up to 100 guests seated at tables and up to 150 for your evening celebrations. It is fully licensed for civil ceremonies and provides the ideal backdrop for a countryside wedding.
With Yorkshire stone walls, a high beamed ceiling, and twinkling fairy lights, our barn is a cosy, magical setting. Add your own styling – bunting, flowers, ribbons – or enjoy the rustic simplicity.
The Sitting Room
Split across two levels, our sitting room is licensed for civil ceremonies and can accommodate up to 60 people, making it ideal for more intimate ceremonies.
The sitting room, with its leather sofas is often used as a “chill out” area and a perfect place to put your bar. Featuring stone walls, high-beamed ceilings, a stunning cast-iron spiral staircase, and an open fireplace, it’s ideal if you want a farmhouse feel. It also boasts a floor-to-ceiling window which allows sunlight to bring the room to life.
The Courtyard
The Courtyard is another great space for holding your drinks reception or evening celebrations. Sheltered from the wind by our beautiful Yorkshire stone buildings, and with plenty of space for an outdoor bar, it’s a lovely, sunny spot for your guests to mingle.
The Kitchen
Your chosen caterers will have access to our professional kitchen facilities for the whole weekend, allowing them to prepare your wedding food onsite.
You and your guests are also welcome to use the kitchen facilities to prepare meals the evening before your big day and breakfast on both mornings.
The Dining Room
Alongside our outstanding kitchen facilities, we also have two wonderful dining areas. Our indoor dining room has traditional wooden trestle tables and is ideal for a family dinner the evening before your big event, or breakfast with your staying guests.
Outside, our picnic tables are the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee and a chat. Alternatively, this area makes a great breakout space during room turnarounds or just for a bit of quiet time.
Event Field
Our dedicated event field can be used for all kinds of weird and wonderful things.
Hire a marquee, some tipis, tents or a yurt. Bring in some hay bales and blankets. Enjoy your wedding meal out in the sunshine. Or use the space for lawn games, entertainment or just a place for children to run around.
Woodlands
Our woodland stretches along our field and is a brilliant place to get some romantic wedding shots or take a morning stroll. If you want to incorporate woodland into your wedding, there are some idyllic spots for a woodland blessing.
The Pavilion
Our beautiful solid oak pavilion features a slate roof and dry-stone wall auditorium seating. Set against the Yorkshire countryside and adjacent to the garden, it is the perfect location for a meaningful outdoor wedding ceremony.
We have plenty of indoor contingency should it rain, and the pavilion makes a great place for speeches, brands, and drinks receptions should you hold your ceremony elsewhere.
Accommodation
At Lineham Farm, we can sleep up to 50 people between our farmhouse and cottages. The Courtyard Cottage sits across the courtyard from our farmhouse, while the Farmer’s Cottage is located opposite the patio area.
Most rooms in the cottages and farmhouse sleep up to six people in single beds or bunks. We also have a double room set aside as the wedding suite, which has an ensuite shower and toilet, kitchen, seating area and a log burner.
